Gameday Regulars released a brand new EP today called …But It’s Hell In The Hallway via our good friends that Mightier Than Sword Records. Will Romeo from the band wrote up a Track-By-Track guide to discuss each of the songs on the EP. Check it out!
Pale Reflections -
Pale Reflections is about a friend of mine who struggled with bulimia and would hit my up at low points about how she would want to break this vicious cycle. She used to go to this support group website to talk to others called Pale Reflections.
Hearts & Bones –
This song is about a dear friend who passed away this year. She was extremely talented and passionate about her photography. We lost touch and never had a chance to say goodbye.
Heavy Bikes –
This song is about why haven’t ever giving up playing music and touring. Through all the negativity people have directed toward us, about their idea of contributing to society. Telling us to go back to school, think about settling down, and put aside the old dreams. We still hold true and follow our dreams to write and play heartfelt music. The title was inspired by Don Ceadle in Ocean’s 13 film, where he played the character of Fender Rhoades.
Smokejumpers –
Smokejumper is a song about depression and spending days in isolation, and how sometimes it seems hopeless and it won’t end. I was watch the “smokejumpers” episode of entourage when i writing the lyrics.
Devil’s Coffee –
This song is about a dream i had about a girl who in a car grabbing on to me trying not fall out. I never understood what it meant, but i woke up and started writing about.
The Whiskey Keeps Us Young –
This song is about a friend who was abused by her father when she was younger and developed a alcohol problem to cope with it. She was very reluctant towards what people thought about her heavy drinking. She simply said it kept her young.
