Eef Barzelay - True Freedom 
Ever since accidentally stumbling onto Eef s record Lose Big , i ve been stuck on this song. It moves me. I listen to this song when i m feeling down. It makes me feel just a little better while still letting me float along in the feeling of something being wrong. Sometimes it s good to sit with that feeling for a little. 
Ray Charles - America, The Beautiful 
There are two songs that give me chills and this is one of them. I think it s obvious why. Just listen to the damn thing. 
Limbeck - The Sun Woke The Whole State 
Talk about good driving music. Makes me think of the two times i drove 16 hours straight on the same stretch of road out west, watching the sun come up around the same mile marker both times. 
Paper Rival - The Kettle Black 
The story in the lyrics , the guitar line in the refrain, and jake s absolutely defeated vocal delivery make for one of the saddest songs i ve ever heard. 
Johnny Cash - Hurt 
This is one of my favorite covers of all time.

While driving in the van, we like to give everyone a chance to listen to what they want. We feel that this playlist reflects our individual musical tastes well. Each member of the band has a particular genre that they take a liking to and we believe that is shown in the music that we write. Since we gather inspiration from different types of music, it makes our writing experience fairly interesting. The songs that we have chosen for this playlist catch our attention in different ways. Some of these songs have lyrics that speak to us, while others have instrumentals that jump out at us. While on the road, we listen to these songs to get us pumped up and ready to play shows.

Butch Walker - The Closest Thing to You Im Gonna Find
This song is off of his new album The Spade. To me, it sounds like the definition of America. When I think of American music, I think classic rock. Steve Miller Band, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, etc The only place to find music like this is in the past. I like it because it’s a bit of the old, and a bit of the new, but all in all just a great tune. It makes me feel happy kinda as if I was a little kid watching a parade. I might just be a weird guy. - JB

Survive - Rise Against
Both songs are about overcoming hardships, and even moreso, what you do with your life as a whole. I like songs like this because they are great catchy songs, but I can actually believe in the message as well. - Eric C.

The chorus is pretty meaningful to me. This album as a whole was just great. - Pete

The guitar riff in this song is better than most sex I’ve had in my life. - Pete
