New Jersey based rock-outfit My Chemical Romance returns to the music scene with their explosive and catchy first single ”Na Na Na” off of their upcoming album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoy produced by mega-producer Rob Cavallo, who’s worked with My Chemical Romance, Green Day, and Paramore.

On first listen you might feel a tiny bit overwhelmed by the amount of “na-na’s,” but once you swallow them down and get passed the seemingly A.D.D. lyrics, which include “eat plastic surgery,” “jazz hands,” and “fuck like a kennedy” you are stuck, and My Chemical Romance has you right where they want you and just in time for the bridge.

This is where, with wailing guitars and huge drums, Gerad Way and the rest of My Chemical Romance shine, singing “Everybody wants to change the world // But no one wants to die.” As far as first singles go, this will be one you either love or hate. Whichever you choose, it feels like a natural progression from The Black Parade with just a little more punk rock snarl and stadium feeling all in one.
