We are stoked to feature Handguns, Forever Came Calling, and Pure Noise Records in our new PropertyOfZack Playlist. Handguns and Forever Came Calling just released a new split via Pure Noise Records, so we thought it’d be a great idea to have them all in the next edition of our series. Check out the Playlists and listen to the songs while reading everyone’s thoughts!

PropretyOfZack asked me to put together a playlist of songs I’ve been particularly enjoying as of late. These are my 15 as of late. I’ve been on a pop kick lately and have really been enjoying ADELE’s “21” record as a change up to all the punk rock I blast in the office all day. I’m really proud of my friends in Man Overboard and Transit who released the best records of their career this month. I really like the new Hundredth record, it’s the best heavy record I’ve heard in a long time and have been jamming in when I ride my bike. The new NFG is great, although I didn’t love the single I’m glad I picked up their LP when I saw them a couple weeks ago because I really like the album as a whole. The rest of the list is just an eclectic mix of stuff I think is really good and listen to a bunch on my iphone/ipod, some of the songs might surprise you, some of them will come as no shock. There are only two types of music in this world, good and bad. Have an open mind! Jake Round

blink 182 - Natives
Our bands collective favorite Blink album is S/T. I think this song is a great meeting place of that album and their earlier work. Lyrically the chorus is awesome. - Joe Candelaria
Family Thief - Airport *Song is currently not on Spotify
Malcolm (Family Thief) is an amazing song writer from our hometown and, this song speaks to me and makes me feel like music did when I was younger. His lyrics read like Twilight years Bukowski, it is honest and, real. - Joe Candelaria
Northstar - The Pornographer’s Daughter
I wish I was half as talented as Nick Torres. I believe if Northstar put out a follow up to “Pollyanna” it might have put them in the spot of TBS or, Brand New. - Joe Candelaria
Title Fight - 27
The video for this song is sick! - Bryce Esquivel
Latin For Truth - Youth Crew Blues
One day my mom is going to yell at me about my new tattoo that will read YCB. Its a great way to close a great record. - Joe Candelaria
Transit - Cutting Corners
The drum work on this song is flawless and, inventive. - Bryce Esquivel
Bruce Springsteen - My Hometown
As awkward as it might sound “The Boss” can make me cry. Listen to this song, it describes pretty much American middle class living. The imagery in all of Bruce Springsteen’s songs is great. I think he might be my favorite artist of all time, scratch that he is. Plus I met him once! - Joe Candelaria
Robbers - Limp Bozo/Torch The Woman! *Song is currently not on Spotify
I first heard this band when we (FCC) played with them and Crime in Stereo. They only had a 2 EP’s out then and now they have a killer full length. I fell in love with his voice and lyrics but he still doesn’t beat Joe.
- John Swaba
Saves The Day - E
Saves the day new album “Daybreak” rips! but I think if Dave, Manny, and Durrjah were still in the band this would probably make my ears bleed! Still a good record. - John Swaba
Boys Night Out - Disintegrating
BNO, easily one of my favorite bands. Every song by them is about killing girls. Whats not to love about stabbing females?
- John Swaba

I chose these songs because they all remind me of certain events in my life and have helped me get through those times; good or bad. I find it incredible that no matter what situation you find yourself in there’s always a song you can find that feels like it was written just for you at that very point in time, like the writer was in your head watching every little event unfold. Music has the power to touch emotions, more than most things in this world, and that is something truly amazing. - Nate Bobb
