A Day To Remember have been teasing everyone with clips for What Separates Me From You, but they finally gave in and released “All I Want,” which was undoubtedly the right song to choose.
It’s a typical A Day To Remember track, and if you can accept that it’s nothing more, it’s easy to get hooked as McKinnon yells, “Keep your hopes up high // And your head down low.”
“All I Want” lacks substance in both lyrics and musical creativity compared to the tracks on the band’s Homesick release, but it’s catchy as hell. Jeremy McKinnon’s vocals sound just as great as ever; Alex Shelnutt’s drums hit just as they should; and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory’s production skills have notably increased as well.
