A curious blend of Built to Spill, Grandaddy, Weezer and Lynard Skynard.
Thrice - Major/Minor - Blinded
The most Thrice sounding record since the band Thrice.
Balance & Composure - Separation - Void
Void is the best opening song on any record I have heard this year. Separation is chock full of fun guitar parts and interesting drum patterns.
O’Brother - Garden Window - Lay Down
Holy Dang! A wonderfully dark and challenging record that navigates you through some uncharted sonic waters.
Weather Box - Follow The Rattle Of The Afghan Guitar - Broken Glowsticks 
I normally wouldn’t put an EP on a top ten album list, but Broken Glowsticks is my favorite song of the year. Both angular and angelic.
La Dispute - Wildlife - Harder Harmonies
Wildlife is naked and raw. This band could be the At The Drive In for a new generation.
Bomb The Music Industry! - Vacation - The Shit That You Hate   
A record that is out of tune and gorgeous. Vacation sounds like what I imagine Brian Wilson (Beach Boys), Jeff Mangum, & Brian Wilson (SF Giants) sounding like if they recorded an album together.
Title Fight - Shed - Safe in Your Skin:
This record transports me right back to my local VFW hall in 97’. I like Hot Water Music, I like Title Fight.
Bayside - Killing Time - Already Gone
A lush sounding pop record that manages to keep all the punk elements at the forefront.
