Sure there are lights and eggnog and presents galore, but let’s not forget what Christmas is truly about: makeouts! Or at least that’s what Phoenix popsters This Century would have you believe on “Kiss Me Like It’s Christmas,” their sappy-sweet acoustic ode to reuniting with a loved one – and her lips. Sure it’s a little gauche, but hey, there’s one day a year that gets a pass on overweening sentimentality, and this is it. Besides, those chord changes in the chorus are undeniable. Guaranteed to make your loved one of choice melt like a snowball in the Arizona heat, so pull ‘em close by the fire and turn up the stereo!
