The Front Bottoms took many by storm in 2011 with one guitar, one drum set, and a whole lot of wit. In an effort to thank fans, Brian Sella and Matt Uychich close out the year with an excellent cover of The Waitresses’ “Christmas Wrapping.” Nobody could ask for much more from Sella than to kick off the song with shouts of “Bah, humbug!” which is exactly what he does. The cover feels just like home in the best way as Sella sings, “Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! But I think I’ll miss this one this year” with enough passion the song could’ve earned a spot on the band’s debut record. It’s been a merry year for The Front Bottoms, and 2012 shows all the more promise of success.
