Thrice announced their hiatus just before Thanksgiving, and drummer Riley Breckenridge has now written up a blog post discussing his plans for music in 2012. Check out the update below by clicking “Read More”.

This will be me later tonight if you replace the cake with a pile of greasy fried chicken, collared greens, mashed potatoes, a bounty of craft brews and a heap of brownies. I was born and raised on the West Coast, but my gut prefers the South (and good beer, regardless of where it’s from).

I’m hoping that 2012 will bring a lot more writing (here and elsewhere), a lot of new music from a couple of new projects (solo and collaborative) that I’m working on, a really fun “final” Thrice tour with a couple of AMAZING bands (who will be announced fairly soon), a happy and healthy family, and a happy and healthy home with my lady and our kids mutts.

Whether I “know” you or not, thanks for reading/following this blog and I hope your 2012 is a great one, because if the Mayans were right, uh…it’s kinda all we’ve got. Let’s make every moment matter…at least a little.
