Pat The Bunny’s new project with a reeeaaall solid band.
Abedisi Shank - Masa *Song is currently not on Spotify
My friend Eab showed me this band on a road trip to the Latterman reunion shows. Some parts have me laughing hysterically at how insane they are.
No Cash - Gasoline
Quoting my friend Chris when he says “This band is soooo rad! They wrote this album when they were like 16 and talked about killing cops and shit… Holding it down.”
Los Campesinos! - We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed
I think this band rules because they are really well orchestrated but are also really raw sounding. It’s sweet.
Joan of Arc - (You) [I] Can Not See (You) [Me] As (I) [You] Can
This band is sooo weird, and probably the best thing I’ve ever listened to. It just makes me feel uncomfortable and I love it.
Hostage Calm - Ballots / Stones
“Check out this band.” “Who are they?” “Hostage Calm.” “Aren’t they that hardcore band?” “No, seriously! Check this out.” “Holy crap… this is sick.” This is how the conversation will go.
Good Luck - Come Home
Into Lake Griffy is a super-duper album. I am always surprised at how good some three-pieces are. I really don’t know how to describe it other than extremely tight. I haven’t listened to their new album yet so I’ll probably do that soon.
Everyone Everywhere - Fld Ovr *Song is currently not on Spotify
This band reminds me a lot of Pavement…. I think mostly because of the sometimes ambiguous lyrics. I could get really weird and say all these super abstract things while expressing my thoughts on this album, but I’ll just leave it at “I want people to listen to this.”
Desaparecidos - Greater Omaha
A song about the gentrification of Omaha. If it wasn’t for Desaparecidos, I probably wouldn’t know who Connor Oberst is since I don’t really listen to Bright Eyes.
At the Drive-In - Hulahoop Wounds
I sometimes spend a lot of time watching live videos of this band (because they’re super rad) and there are a bunch of really funny spots where they call out people for moshing at their shows and don’t give a fuck. - Christian Holden
