Taking a slightly negative and witty stance with their Christmas song, You, Me & Everyone We Know have released “We’ve Got Diggin’ Out To Do,” a track that could be played the other 364 days of the year, too.

Ben Liebsch’s infectious and unique vocals take a commanding presence over the song as he spits out line after line of a seemingly disastrous holiday season. And while there are no shots directed towards Richard Reines of Drive-Thru Records or Cody Payne of The Dangerous Summer, the track still packs the same punch as most of the material on Some Things Don’t Wash Out.

Shakers and a slow piano part lay the groundwork for the sing-along style song as Liebsch sings “From the moment I hear Mathis until the moment they drop the ball // I carry this weight with me like a coat I can’t take off // And this attitude like eggnog that sat out ‘til mid July // Must be the reason I’m trolling Macy’s trying to make Santa cry.” And from that moment on your know you’re in for a good ride.
