Bukowski has been one of my favorite writers since I was about 16. In all honestly I was/am a huge Senses Fail lord and Buddy would talk about him in interviews and stuff. The first thing that grabbed me about him was his optimistic cynicism. A huge realist but, there are small specs of light scattered all over in his writing (Bluebird, Roll The Dice, etc). This songs name title comes from me reading about a lifestyle for so long that I didn’t pay attention when I was falling into those same habits I read about and was scared of when I was younger. I don’t wanna get into details because I hope you can make your own memories to songs we write but, this song marked a realization in myself that was awkward but overall made me a better person.
