From Matty Arsenault:
So since last time we updated you on our tour stories and van shenanigans, we traveled through Florida and are currently in Greensboro, NC. I’m sitting in this little random creek in the woods, pretty relaxed (a rare occurrence in my fast-paced life). It’s good to be able to sit back and enjoy Mother Nature at its finest and rock out to my R & B Pandora stations!
After having some good BBQ food in Memphis and seeing some old friends in Nashville we quested to Gainesville, Florida to practice with our good friend Kyle. He has been killing it on drums. We also got amazing burritos at Boca Fiesta. If you are ever in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out! Shortly after practice I got dropped off in St. Petersburg to hang with my good friend Sierra. She plays in an awesome band called Versa Emerge. We are stoked to be playing with them at Slam Dunk Fest in the UK in May. Sierra and I went to some parties, ate sushi, and chilled by the water. Not bad for a Boston native to get some nice beach weather in early March. The rest of the guys went to Nevada’s relative’s house in Sarasota. There they were spoiled with multiple healthy meals.
St. Petersburg was one of the craziest shows for sure. It’s good to know kids can still get a Circle Pit going. Ft. Lauderdale ruled as well. We got to see old friend Gino from the band Thick As Blood. In Orlando we didn’t get to go to Disney, but we did all get to party. I went to a Hip Hop hookah bar with my friend Loafy while the rest of the guys met up and drank Sake with our friend from Japan and the infamous Spickler. When we were on tour with FYS and Crime In Stereo, Spickler got thrown through a glass window at a college Toga Party. Let’s just say that we weren’t invited, but we all got out of there in one piece. In Jacksonville Mikey and I filled up on seafood, then we had to drive overnight to North Carolina. Tomorrow is the last day with these great bands, Streetlight Manifesto and Larry and His Flask. We get to finish the tour on a great sold out show in DC at the 930 Club. It’s a dream come true to play the 930 Club. There is a ton of history behind the venue, and we have heard nothing but great things about the place.
Thanks for the support. We will hit you up from the UK when we do a tour with Set Your Goals and This Time Next Year in May.
