POZ Video Premiere: The Lost Dangerous Summer Documentary (Part I)

by Zack Zarrillo - Nov 8, 2013

The Dangerous Summer launched a Kickstarter well over a year ago now to fund the filming of a DVD. Josh McDonald was hired to travel with the band and create the documentary, but the band decided to scrap the release due to outdated material and having a new lineup.

Instead of throwing the hard worked footage away, McDonald wants to show the material to fans who donated to the Kickstarter. PropertyOfZack will be premiering a segment of the documentary each week. You can read a statement from McDonald and watch the first part of the documentary below after the jump.

July of 2012 // The Dangerous Summer hired me to film and edit their documentary. The finished product has been completed for nearly a year, however, due to member changes, the band considers the content obsolete and will not be releasing it.

Since I am now free of contractual arrangements, I am going to be releasing a series of what would have been the documentary. Every week I am going to post a new episode. I am unaware of any plans the band has for filming new content, but I assume all of those who donated to their kickstarter will some day receive something for your donations.

I hope everyone that is a fan of The Dangerous Summer enjoys the content I have arranged.
