From Andrew Fisher:

Today was the third show with Daylight and we played Albany, NY. It’s got to that point where I am running out of interesting things to say because I have lost track of the days and we end up doing the same thing, which is mainly eat. Tomorrow we are hopefully going to go into Boston before our show in Providence, RI. None of us have ever been there and we are really looking forward to check it out.

The main thing I need to stress with this update is how much we love Daylight. Before anything was sorted with us going to America we knew we wanted to tour with them and I am so very happy that they shared this opinion and it all worked out.

From Andrew Fisher:

Our last show with Such Gold was two days ago in a venue that was actually a bowling alley. Like we literally played on a stage that was set up directly on the lanes. We bowled and got fed and the show was great. It was a good end to that leg of the tour. Again, thank you so much to SG for everything.

Today we had a day off and we met up with Daylight and got pizza in Perkasie and then drove to Wilkes Barre to see Cold World and a whole bunch of other insane bands. It’s now 6am and we spent the last hour rolling around in our sleeping bags. This update really isn’t making us look cool. Tomorrow we play Brooklyn, NY.

From Andrew Fisher:

Today has definitely been the best day so far. We got up early and explored Philadelphia. We got to see the liberty bell and Independence Hall, which was an incredibly humbling experience. We have spent the last hour with our good friend Rob’s family and his aunt cooked us the most amazing Puerto Rican food. We are all unashamed meat eaters and to experience home cooked, traditional Hispanic food was so good! Especially after eating only fast food for the past week.

Basement are out on their first US tour with Such Gold that is sponsored by PropertyOfZack! We’re big fans of the band and will be having them do a Road Blog to keep in touch with all their fans that are interested to keep tabs on their first visit over to the States. Read up on the first one below and make sure to check back!

From Andrew Fisher:

Ok, so I know this is late seeing as it is day eight now or something like that, but we have been doing so much stuff that I have only just now had a real chance to sit down and write about it. Since the day we got here everyone has been so good to us and helped us tremendously. I have to stress how grateful we are to people like Justin Collier for helping arrange so much and especially Such Gold for allowing us to use their entire backline and let us travel with them in their bus. It means the world to us and we simply could not have done this without them. Rob Hackert is currently TM for both bands and is one of the greatest people we have ever met. Check out his band I Am Alaska.

So far we have eaten as many different things as possible and have visited Niagra Falls. Cook Out is the best food stop we have visited and it blew me away. I got enough food to feed an entire family for eight dollars. The shows have been a lot of fun and we are thankful for anyone who came to watch us or bought anything. It means so much. I still can’t believe I’m here, so the fact that anyone cares about it is pretty insane. We have three shows left before we meet up with our friends in Daylight. Tomorrow we are playing Baltimore and we will all be sampling the delights of fresh Baltimore crab. I think I need to put a bit more emphasis on how important food is to us.
