From Bob Barnett:

Jacksonville, FL - This was one of my favorite shows. We’ve never played Jacksonville before so we were all pretty curious. We showed up to Jack Rabbits and watched Paul from Red City Radio destroy Galaga. He was fucking great. The show was packed and it was a great time playing. We stayed with a dude named Chris in Jacksonville Beach. He had this crazy friend named Joe who threatened to kick the shit out of us about 90 times while complimenting our band at the same time. The next day we went to the beach and wrecked some gnarly waves. Bill and Leo got pretty bad sunburn.

Gainesville, FL - I LOVE the 1982 bar. We played there during Fest and had a great time and I was pretty excited to play some video games at the bar. We spent most of the day and night getting our asses beat in Street Fighter Turbo by Paul (Man is SERIOUSLY good at video games.) The show was fun and we stayed with our new friend Jeremy. He cooked us some fine ass breakfast in the morning and made some smoothies which was pretty awesome. All great stuff.

From Bob Barnett:

Hi again. Here is our Tour Diary Part II.

Baltimore, MD - It’s strange knowing how close we are to Baltimore yet we have never played there. We played at Charm City Art Space. The place was great and we got some great pizza. Reservoir opened up and killed it. During our set I burped the pizza up during some singing and it was an awful experience. Spicy. We spent the night at Leo’s sister’s house and she made us a feast of pasta, chicken marsala, and meatballs. Shit was fantastic. Thanks Andrea!

Richmond, Va - We showed up to Richmond early and spent the day at Brett from The Riot Before’s house. My man knows how to cook. We ate some of the best tacos ever and drank Miller High Life and sat outside. Red City Radio taught us how to hackey sack. It’s strange how decent they are at hackey sack. The show was pretty great and we stayed with our friend Chris. He has an awesome dog named Spike. Thanks Chris!

We’re happy to welcome Bob Barnett from Captain, We’re Sinking as our brand new featured Road Blog. The band is currently on tour with Red City Radio and we’ll be getting a few more updates from Bob before the tour finishes. Read up on the first few dates of the tour below!

From Bob Barnett:

Hello! My name is Bob and this is Epic Tour Diary Part 1: A New Hope. Today is day 4 of our tour with Red City Radio and its been a time so far. We haven’t really left our stomping grounds (Scranton, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia) but we had some great hangs. Here’s what went down.

Scranton, PA - Scranton is our home. It was pretty great playing a home town show to kick things off. We haven’t played Scranton in over a year so it was fun to play to some old friends and family. Red City nailed it and we had crazy set. My teeth hurt after that one but it was all great. We met up with Red City Radio at a bar down the street after the show to get in our first kisses and weird shit like that. The bartender was a friendly guy and gave us a round of Jameson shots on the house while we were watching the Mavericks make an epic come back in game 2. Seemed like things were going to be pretty swell.

Brooklyn, NY - This day started off by buying a new van. We waited until day 2 of our tour to get a van because, well, thats just the way she goes. We figured out all the bullshit and got rolling. We went from one mini van to a different mini van! We fit that shit like Tetris. We got to the Charleston and the place was packed. It was kind of a head rush to walk into. After a couple of drinks and some good bands, we went on. All was fun and great. We stayed with our homie Lisa afterwards and drank on the roof. I think I found the constellation Draco that night. Whatever, I suck at Astronomy. The next morning we did a photo shoot with High Times Magazine. That was a time and a half. We were in a backyard in Brooklyn that had this giant jungle like garden in the back. This was our first photo shoot so it was kind of strange but fun. Can’t wait to give that article to Grandma next Christmas!
