From JT Woodruff:
I’m not gonna lie…We are in Columbus Ohio, which is 90 miles away from where we live. There are 5 days left of tour, but something about Ohio just makes us want to stay. So the question is, should we stay on tour…or take the easy route and just roll home after the Columbus show? KEEP ON TRUCKING. That’s all we really know how to do it in Hawthorne Heights. We have been through an entire lifetime of ups and downs, and nothing’s gonna stop us now. So after playing a really weird feeling Columbus show, we drive into the night on the Penn Turnpike. I say the show was weird, because it was at the same venue that Dimebag Darrell lost his life. It was extremely strange to be in the same place and see where everything went down. I wasn’t into it.
Into the night we drive and we can tell by the fog on the glass that the temperature was falling fast. Once again…I fucking hate the cold. I don’t like anything about it. I hate wearing a coat. Anything more than a hoodie pisses me off. But still…these are small problems to have. We are tour playing our songs and that’s fine by me. We arrive at an average hotel, booked on priceline, to sleep for a few hours. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ We are up way too early to finish our drive to Philadelphia, which is at least one of my favorite cities. Philly means we get to see Mike Ski, hang with Claudia, and eat cheesesteaks. Nothing wrong with that plan at all. Drank a lot of coffee on South Street. We were showered by gifts from the lovely Claudia (THANKS!). I bought Mike some falafel…life was fun. The show was weird because it was 21+, but Legendary Dobbs was cool. I love South Street.
