PropertyOfZack is back with our eleventh day of our Stocking Stuffers feature with Brian Cag of Action Item. Brian discusses his love for Coldplay’s “Christmas Lights” and the holiday memories attached to it. Check it out below and come back each day until Christmas for more!
Coldplay - Christmas Lights
Every year, Christmas rolls around and it seems that every artist is trying to make an old classic their own. I respect that, of course, but there’s always something special about original Holiday songs. My favorite is Coldplay’s Christmas Lights. Somehow, I can find myself listening to this song in July, and it immediately takes me to another place. I believe truly great songs do not limit themselves to just to a specific season, or point in time. Whether I’m hanging at the beach in Santa Monica, or snowed in with the family at home, this song is always on my playlist.
From Action Item:
August 16 - Producers Club NYC This was a crazy hectic day, considering that it was the first NYC premiere of this run. Before the showing, we all split up and did our own thing for a couple of hours. NYC is always so vibrant with its random street fairs and pop-up-shops. After we cleared our heads for a bit, we headed back to the theatre. It’s a pretty insane feeling to know you have a movie premiere in the famous theatre district. Some of our nerves were on edge, considering we invited a good amount of our team, but seeing how much they enjoyed it only made it even more exciting of a night.
August 17th - Asbury Park, NJ Showroom Cinema This had to be one of our favorite premieres thus far. Seeing so many of our original fans from our hometown area was incredible. Asbury Park has a lot of history to it, so it was nice to be able to have our NJ showing in such an iconic place.
Action Item have been busy on the road this summer, and the band will be recapping their journey in a new PropertyOfZack Road Blog. Check out the band’s first update below!
From Action Item:
We consider Los Angeles to be our second home. This was the big kick-off to the Until It’s Over premieres, and we could not have been any more excited and nervous (honestly). There was so much preparation put into this documentary, from the filming, editing, locations, you name it. For a band to say that they are going to be screening their movie across the nation, you better back it up and make it great. That is just what we did. This was such a successful night. Everything ran smoothly and it was so great to see many of our West Coast fans.ChicagoWe say this a lot, but it is true. Chicago ALWAYS impresses us with their enthusiasm and appreciation. We haven’t been to Chicago since our last tour with Hot Chelle Rae, so the fans were so vibrant and excited. The theatre was a very vintage Casablanca-eque place. Could not have picked a better place for the Chicago screening.
