Allstar Weekend are out on tour with Cute Is What We Aim For for their final run before Warped, and the band was kind enough to do a PropertyOfZack Playlist feature. Check out the Playlist below while listening to the songs on Spotify and reading everyone’s thoughts!

Tidal Wave (Flosstradamus Remix) - Sub Focus

Trap is one of my favorite genres and Flosstradamus are great DJ’s and mixers. They really paved the way for a new hip hop in electronic music. Their remix to Tidal Wave is too clean. Like heaven.
773 Love - Jeremih
R&B is my favorite type of music and this song brought me back to the ‘08 and ‘09 era of Pop R&B. It reminded me of a song that would be a fraternal twin to Chris Brown’s, “Take You Down” so I like it a lot.
16 Chapels - Travi$ Scott *Song is not on Spotify
I’ve always been a fan of hip hop coming from Houston and that whole movement with Trill. This was like a breath of fresh air for me. His rapping and singing were on point the whole song. This is a real treat for rappers/producers.
Latch (Feat. Sam Smith) - Disclosure
I love the sounds used in this song. It’s a very minimalist approach to electronic R&B style vocals. It has a certain heart-warming feeling to it.
Spectrum - Zedd
Great instrumental mixed with awesome vocal rifts. This song is a perfect to listening to if you want to rage.
I Don’t Like - Kanye West
Because it’s my go to song whenever I’m trying to get pumped up. It’s great song to work out to. - Cameron
Ho Hey - The Lumineers
Because I think it’s a really simple and sweet song that talks about how some dude just really loves some girl. I’m a sap for folky love songs. The End.

Bad Religion - Frank Ocean
I’m a huge
fan and that one really shows off how incredible his vocals are. He kills it live!
Cola - Lana Del Rey
The lyrics in this song are incredibly mind-blowinh. Lana Del Rey displays a sexy, smooth tone over an awesome background of melody.
Some Nights - fun.
This song has an energy that is familiar but different. It has an uplifting quality and always reminds me of a time I sang this song at a wedding. - Zach

Weekend Recap: Warped Tour Lineup, ADTR/OM&M Tour, Skate And Surf Adds Bands

by Zack Zarrillo - Jan 21, 2013

Warped Tour Announces Next Seven Bands

Do you like where the lineup is heading so far? Last year’s Warped Tour lineup was the most admired in years with “veteran” bands like Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, and Senses Fail bringing in older crowds and younger bands like Man Overboard, Transit, and Sleeping With Sirens pulling  their weight for the current generation of attendees. It’s harder to figure out quite where the festival is heading this year. Everyone should be able to find bands that can’t wait to see, but it looks like scheduling will be much less of an issue this coming summer.

Of Mice & Men Confirm Spring Tour With A Day To Remember

That’s a big, big tour. POZ has been told the rooms, while big, could be at times headlined by Of Mice & Men themselves, which should be very exciting for A Day To Remember fans as the headliner is preparing to go to the next tiered level of success.

Skate And Surf Second Lineup Announcement

What’s not to like so far? John D has to make a statement with his return this year following Bamboozle, and bringing acts like Glassjaw onboard certainly help widen the audience that will be heading down the New Jersey Turnpike this spring.

Of Machines Reuniting For Final EP

Following a four year hiatus, Of Machines are coming back to leave a final mark on the ambient-Risecore scene, but it does not look like Rise Records is in the mix for the release. Nonetheless, get excited if you missed this band.

Allstar Weekend Going On Hiatus; Members Starting New Band

Strange move. This tends to never work out for bands.

fun. Announce Next Single

And it will be released on Valentine’s Day. We’re all waiting to see what fun. can do in the mainstream world a year out from the success of “We Are Young.” This will be the band’s fourth, and most likely last, single from Some Nights. Whether it succeeds or not on the radio will tell us a lot about the band’s future in the top 40 pop world.

We Are The In Crowd Back In The Studio

It looks like the band is back in with producers Zack and Kenneth working on pre-production or actually recording songs for their next record. A summer release would look good for the band.

Enter Shikari Recording In February

The band’s follow-up to A Flash Flood shouldn’t be too far away…

MegaUpload Returns As Mega

Check back on POZ later today for a Perspective piece on Kim Dotcom and all Mega’s glory (or lack thereof).
