From JB:

We’re about to leave NJ for the next leg of our tour with Squid and the Whalers, so I decided that it’d be a good time for an update. We parted ways with The Composure last night. It was a cold rainy night. Im sure someone got sick. Every dude that has been on this tour has had a cold or the flu or some sort of ass-beating illness in the past two weeks.

We played Pittsburgh and State College over the weekend. Both of the shows were fucking awesome and packed. Pittsburgh was a hometown show for The Composure. The show went great. I got drunk and ended up getting in a quick little street fight with some ghetto douche bag. I was walking around with my clipboard getting people to sign our mailing list, and this dude thought I was trying to hit on his disgustingly ugly hood-rat of a girlfriend. I laughingly ignored him, but then him and his hood-wench wanted to talk to me in a threatening way. After that I threw my jacket on the ground and said lets go. We went outside. The dude started acting like he was gonna hit me, and then Johnny Grushecky threw him a left. After that I grabbed him by the shirt and threw him a 10 piece combo. His ghetto wench jumped on my back and scratched me. I assume that I’ve contracted some sort of hood-disease from her nasty ass. Her man started a bunch of shit and physically attacked me when I told him to stop it and shut his mouth. He didnt listen and then got his ass handed to him. At this point, a police officer walked up and threatened to mace us all if we didnt leave. So we dispersed haha. The end.

We had our release show in Philly this past Tuesday. Things went pretty awesome. Sold a ton of EPs, everyone was happy, all the bands got paid. It was a great night. It was a school night so we didn’t see a lot of our younger followers, but it was pretty packed anyway! All the bands played great. Ben Liebsch gave a half farewell/see you soon type of performace. I hope he finds a band and keeps writing music. He is a determined individual. But either way, I am just glad that he played.

Eric Camarota:

The Bright and Early / Squid The Whale tour has been a great time thus far. Have to say it’s great to be on tour with a band that you are actually stoked to see perform each night. Both bands get along like the best fucking pb and j sandwhich you’ve ever had. As most tours some shows have been great and some not so much, but never the less a great time all around. We actually just got done performing at State College (kids fucking rule there) with our great buds in The Composure. It was a off night where us and Squid booked two separate shows, so well be catching back up with them tomorrow! Our record release for our new ep “Getting Through It”  is right around the corner on the 18th and we are really stoked to feel the love from our friends and family in philly! It feels great being on the road and making new friends each night, more video updates from us are coming soon! See you on the rude… Rowd?… Rowadd?… Road!
