Eisley Come Up $40,000 Short In Kickstarter

This is strange, isn’t it? You start a Kickstarter for the incredible amount of $100,000 and you stop promoting it a week before it ends. What does that say to the fans that donated? Does that mean Eisley will no longer go on tour? There are questions, but Eisley don’t seem to have a desire to answer.

Sainthood Reps are currently in the middle of recording their sophomore record that is due out this fall via No Sleep Records. The band kicked off the process by tracking drums with our friend Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA. PropertyOfZack is very excited to be teaming up with the band for a series of Behind The Booth updates on the album, so check out the first one below!

From Bradley Cordaro:

Jani and myself pull into Philadelphia, PA early on a Tuesday morning and head straight for Honeys Sit’n Eat, one of our bands most favorite place to eat. We both order the Huevos Rancheros and a coffee, La Colombe, great cup.

image

Our destination is Conshohocken, more specifically, Studio 4, to meet up with Will Yip and start tracking drums and bass for our new record. A bunch of our friends had recorded with him (Balco, Daylight), and he mixed “Deadlines” for our 7” split with Weatherbox. (out on Topshelf Records now). We loved his work and attitude, the foundation to work together on our LP was layed.

Conshohocken is a beautiful small town about 25 mins outside of Philly. Such an awesome town to have this incredible studio, Studio 4. There is a really great vibe and overall feeing at Studio 4, that combined with Wills laid back and positive demeanor makes recording there really enjoyable.

Some of the gear they have is incredible. The main attraction is their vintage Rupert Neve Design 8048 console, I believe from 1972, or around there. A Studer 2” tape machine. Also a slew of vintage Neumans and Sony microphones.

image

Will is an incredibly talented engineer, and also one hell of a drummer. The dude knows how to tune a drum. I really love his approach to recording, especially at Studio 4. The room has a magic to it, and that combined with the Neve, really makes it a special place. I’ve recorded before where there were 25+ mics on my kit, I think we used 12 or 13 at Studio 4. The combination of the room, the gear and mainly Will is a recipe for tone greatness.

It should be noted that Morris sent an email to POZ with his panties in a bunch once we posted who he was…with information that came directly from his website.
