We last left off in Chicago where we had the night off. We headed to get some amazing pizza. We headed to Giordano’s to get our fix. It sure hit the spot. We had some time to kill after dinner so we headed to the local casino which we thought was an awesome idea before we actually walked in. Little did we know what was in store for us. We lost our asses at this casino which made the drive to Michigan a quiet one. I was a little pissed off so I fell asleep. I had a bit of a rude awakening sadly. We had arrived at our destination in the early am and had gotten stuck in this mud/ice/slush bullshit. Thank god we had the Last Call guys there to help us out. Took 3 hours and no luck. We decided it was time to call a tow truck 5:30 am and we finally got out. Rough night. We are on a bad luck streak.
After waking up from our miserable muddy night, we woke up and went to a YMCA to shower. We enjoyed some baked goods from our good friend Molly and played a fun show which instantly cheered us up from the events of the day before. We then proceeded to drive into Canada early that morning. Everything went smoothly, besides the fact that Nick admitted to having nunchucks which the border patrol confiscated from him. He was bummed. After a few more hours of driving, we arrived to Toronto.
Toronto was so beautiful. It’s like a clean NYC if you will. A few of us got Mopeds and cruised around town for a little while trying to find out what this Poutine was all about. It was incredible. We played a rad show at Sneaky Dee’s with Seaway and others. It was slammed packed. Everyone was so polite. Was a huge fan of the accents as well.
Next night we headed into Montreal. We heard many scary stories about Montreal. Seems like a lot of bands have been robbed in the blink of an eye. We played The Underworld where Hunter Moore was suppose to DJ after the show was over. This was the first night of the tour we didn’t watch Last Call or Forever Came Calling because all 3 bands decided to do shifts to watch the vans and gear. Thank God we did. I personally caught 2 people looking into FCC’s van. Other than that the show was rad. Met a lot of new friends which is always important to us.
We spent Easter with Last Call. We had a family bowling day to enjoy our day off. Felt good. Real good. During bowling, we found out that our good friends in My Iron Lung were performing in Albany, ten minutes from where we were. We hung out there with them and Vales, their tourmates from the UK. After enjoying some New York pizza together we took off to the Pagano residence, who are one of the nicest families we have come across on our travels. They regularly allow touring bands into their home to shower, eat, and sleep, and are very supportive of the music. Heart to Heart = Team Pagano. We woke up to our Pure Noise announcement. Couldn’t be more excited to join one of the hardest working families in the game right now. The support and reaction we got was incredible. It’s a Pure Noise takeover!!

From Nick and Taylor:
Wow. We are only a few days in and what a crazy few days it has already been. Don’t really know where to start so I guess I will start with day 1. We left the day before to head to our show in Arizona so that we would have time to get there and do what little things we had to do. We arrived in Mesa, Arizona and a few friends offered us a place to stay and hang out until we had to go to the show. We arrived at about 2 am and that is when it all started. First off, the weather was incredible at night. It was so warm. Felt amazing. We all stayed up till about 5 am playing Halo 4, watching YouTube videos, and telling jokes. We hung around for the day until we got hungry and that is when we decided to hit BWW. We LOVE wings. The homie Warren we were with decided to take the BWW wing challenge. 12 of their hottest wings in 6 minutes with no drink, no dipping sauce, and had to suck those wings dry. Believe or not the homie held it down and became a champion that day. His picture hangs in BWW and he has the t-shirt to prove it.
It was off to The Nile in Mesa to meet up with Last Call and Forever Came Calling for the first show. What a great way to start off the tour. The bill was stacked with What’s Eating Gilbert, Pentimento, Allison Weiss, Candy Hearts, and more. Great turnout and every single band on the bill was a pleasure to watch. We were so excited to have so many friends in one spot at one time.
Day 2 was in probably what is my least favorite town in America (NO OFFENSE) Albuquerque, NM. Where we enjoyed the luxury of a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Our home away from home. I have what I call “The Early Bird Curse”. I am always the first one awake. So I decided to bust out the camping stove and make breakfast for the guys. Chorizo and eggs. How delish it was. After breakfast and a “Wal-Mart Shower” I had a little surprise for the guys. We headed to Walter White’s house and the car wash from Breaking Bad to snag a few pictures. We were fucking pumped. They guys had no idea and we loved every second of it. We played a rad venue that was in the heart of downtown.
