I never thought I would see the day but we are done with the North American Pioneer tour. I am not sure if I know how to feel, this has been the longest tour we have ever been on and one of the most rewarding. This was the first full U.S tour we have been on since the release of Pioneer and to see how many of you knew the songs means more to me than I could put into words. We made tons of new friends on this tour that I know we will keep in contact with. We were able to grow as a band playing with great bands night after night for 47 shows. It was a great feeling to be on the road with two bands that first and foremost we are just fans of there music and for them to be great people was just the icing on the cake.

The tour ended on the west coast, playing shows in California and Arizona. All the shows were better than I could have imagined. It has been great to meet all of you after the shows and hear your thought of the new tunes live. The final night of the tour was in our hometown of Tempe, Arizona at the Marquee Theatre where we all grew up going to shows, so it was a fitting way to end such a great tour.

It’s the last week of our Spring Pioneer Tour. Last week we were in Canada which gave us all a few days to not have to worry about our phones or the internet. All the Canadian shows were so great and we did a split cover song of That Thing You Do with the Arkells. We all really love that song/ movie so it was a blast to jam out for the week. 

The rest of the shows should be awesome and I cant wait for all the great weather in California! After that we get some time off in the hot heat of Arizona’s summer. We are shooting a few music videos when we are at home so be sure to look out for those. Well hope you all have a great rest of your summer and hope to see you all next fall!

Hey there everyone it’s Kennedy, just checking in from the Pioneer tour with Arkells and Lydia. We are a little over halfway done with the tour and I’m really enjoying it! Every night so far, I have been lucky enough to play a song during Arkells set. It’s a real treat to have to opportunity to jam with such great musicians. I love the camaraderie  on this tour, and will certainly miss these guys at the end. But we’re not there yet, there’s a lot more fun to be had.

We are now about four weeks into this U.S tour with Arkells and Lydia. We have had a bunch of shows in a row and finally have an off day today. All the shows have been great and we had the chance a few days ago to play at the band new Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD which was one of the best venues we have ever played. We went across the border into Canada where we knew the shows would be good and we were not let down. We have had some rain the past few days so not much else has been going on besides the shows and playing nintendo 64 on the bus. I am looking forward to Bamboozle in a few days and we just found out that Brand New will be playing a last minute show at the Stone Pony right down the street later at night so im sure we will all try and sneak in.

I figure it’s a little monotonous writing a standard blog which vaguely describes how our lives are going on the road, so I decided to write a limerick instead:

There once were some boys on a tour,

Who’s days on the road they grew fewer.

They played all the gigs

And danced just like pigs,

And tried not to smell like manure. 

That was really bad, I’m sorry. I won’t ever do that again. To be honest, this has been an incredible run so far. We are so lucky to have Arkells and Lydia be a part of these shows. They are extremely tough acts to follow. We are just about half way done now, but we have a ton to still look forward to.

Hello intergalactic web! We are about two weeks into our Spring Headliner and everything is going great. Both Lydia and Arkells are such amazing bands. I find myself watching them both play almost every night. I don’t think I’ve done that on any other tour. We are getting really comfortable together too which makes the road life easy. Kenny & Jared play with the Arkells on a song called “Agent Zero” every night. I’m jealous.

My left leg has been acting a little weird. I think I need a new knee. We are having an off day today so I’m going to try and not walk too much. If anyone has an extra robot left legs and want to give me one Id really love it…

Hey guys, Jared here with an update from the road. We’re just over a week into our North American run of the Pioneer World Tour, and things are shaping up quite nicely. Kennedy and I have been joining Arkells on stage nightly, and both Arkells and Lydia have been joining us to play “With a little help from my friends”, our cover of the Beatles/Joe Cocker. Off stage, we’ve been hanging with our new friends, sometimes watching hockey (go Coyotes!) and other times checking out their sets.

Tons of kids have been coming out, the majority of the shows have been selling out and it’s great seeing new faces since it’s my first time over seas with The Maine.  My favorite thing so far has been getting to see the country side and culture over here on our days off and down time. It’s been a blast getting to document it all
