If you’re not from the Philly area, Hank made his first top on the Travelin’ Hank Tour yesterday at Repo Records, and we are happy to report that it was a great success! (And if you are from the Philly area, you missed out big time.)
Hank tipped off all of his followers on Friday night letting them know that he would be in Philly at a certain time period the next day and began dropping clues to where he might be. Hank first suggested that he might try to pick up Balance & Composure’s fantastic record, Separation, which suggested a record store, and small clues like these are definitely the ones you want to watch out for on his future stops!
We all know that The Wonder Years have written about Logan Circle, Melrose Diner, Washington Square Park, and a bunch of other places in the Philly area, and tons of fans tried to find Hank in all of those places, but that clever pigeon quickly tweeted that he would not be stopping any of those places.
Within 45 minutes, 35 fans showed up and came running down the stairs at Repo Records to meet up with Hank and Soupy to talk, get some free records, and have a good time. Hank will be making his next stop in Boston on May 19th, so be on the lookout and follow @HankThePigeon to check back for more clues. Be sure to watch some testimonials from fans who stopped by Repo Records below in order to find out how they found Hank!
