Troubled Coast and My Iron Lung are about halfway through their West Coast tour, and we’re happy to be putting both bands together for a new PropertyOfZack Playlist feature. Troubled Coast are supporting their fantastic new record, Awake And Empty, and My Iron Lung are supporting their Grief EP. The music played in our van really depends on who’s driving. We could not collectively agree on one favorite band or song or record if we tried. Depending on who you’d ask you’d get a different response for who our main influence was or who we enjoy. So here’s a mix of what were listening to at the moment. Enjoy. - Michael Young
Thom Yorke – The Eraser
I’ve been listening to this a lot recently, being a political year, it brought me back to some of the concepts this album has to offer about international environmental policies and the climate in general. On top of that it’s a fantastic listen musically with the blend of electronic and live instruments. - Mike
Sigur Ros - Ekki Mukk
There’s something very haunting but very beautiful on this one that can always put me in a self reflective or contemplative mood. I saw them earlier this summer in Hollywood and they changed my life again. Indescribable. - Mike
Other Lives – Tamer Animals
Really glad I found this band, they definitely deserve more attention. I love hearing the instrumentation across the album, and the title track in particular has my favorite melody. – Mike
Fucked Up – Crusades
This is one of my favorite songs by Fucked Up. It’s always fun to skate to. I gave up on collecting their discography, they’re constantly releasing new stuff and keeping fans busy. Stoked on how unafraid they are to try new things. - Matthew
Modern Life Is War – Midnight In America
Constantly have this on repeat. I love everything this band has put out. This album is flawless and perfect for long drives on tour. - Matthew
